Elisabet Gómez González
PhD Student
Born in Seville, Elísabet Gómez González studied her Double Degree in Chemistry and Materials Engineering and got his Master degree about Advanced Chemistry Studies at the University of Seville. She got the JAE-Intro Grant of Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) in October 2019 at the Institute of Materials Science of Seville (CSIC-US).
Later, she received a FPI Grant (PRE2019-090170) to develop her Thesis in the Colloidal Materials Group at the Materials Science Institute (CSIC- University of Sevilla). She is doing her research about the development of lanthanide-based contrast agents for high-field magnetic resonance and X-ray computed tomography. She has published some scientific papers in SCI journals. She has carried out two different stays at national research institutes: Institute of Nanoscience and Materials of Aragon (Bionanosurf Group), learning about functionalization of nanomaterials for biological applications and Centro Andaluz de Nanomedicina y Biotecnología (BIONAND, Málaga), where she worked on the evaluation of the capacity of papamagnetic nanoparticles as MRI contrast agents.
